About Kyo Matcha

The name of Kyo Matcha is from the modern Japanese master of Matcha, Matsusaka. It aims to inherit the tea ceremony concept of Matsusaka's β€œLet Tea Return to the Forest”: Breaking through the tradition and starting from the heart, letting people enter the tea and experience the beauty of the forest. Relaxation of mind and body. An international chain of Matcha desserts dedicated to creating top-quality raw materials.

Kyo Matcha is an asian dessert in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is listed at 222 N 11th St, Philadelphia, PA 19107, which places it among the local businesses of Philadelphia that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

Hours at these spots often run into the evening, later than a typical coffee shop, and many stay open on weekends when demand is highest in Philadelphia. Seasonal and limited-time drink or dessert flavors are common, so a shop's current menu can differ from what is posted online; checking recent photos or calling ahead helps. Some locations in Pennsylvania are dessert-only with no seating, meant for takeout, while others have cafe-style seating for staying a while. Straws for bubble tea are typically wide to accommodate the toppings, and are provided automatically unless you ask for a regular one. Loyalty apps and stamp cards are common at chain locations, and ordering ahead through an app can shorten a wait considerably at busy locations during peak after-school and after-dinner hours.

Hours are published for 2 days a week. The most common schedule is 11:30 AM–10:30 PM. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Kyo Matcha at (267) 557-8888; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is kyotomatcha.us, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.4 out of 5 from 243 reviews, which is a strong result for an asian dessert in Philadelphia and suggests consistent service.

Best matcha ice cream ever! 🍡🍦 Kyo Matcha did not disappoint. The service was amazing too! Of course, I waited in line for like 30 minutes πŸ˜‚ but honestly… SO worth it. 10/10!

Just wanted to disclose that I usually don’t leave reviews, but they were giving out free keychains/magnets to anyone who left a review on grand opening weekend. Figured if I was gonna leave a review for a cute magnet I might as well leave an honest one for the people ✊ I ordered a matcha latte float and the brown sugar boba cap cake. I personally am someone who prefers their matcha strong. The matcha taste in the float was pretty subtle, and the cup was filled with ice. I didn’t taste the matcha much in the latte itself but I tasted it a little more in the ice cream. The cake was solid, the one thing I like about it was it wasn’t too sweet. However I got it to go since I went on grand opening day and there was nowhere to sit and it seems like the to go portions are smaller vs getting it dining in (based off social media.) What I ended up getting was basically the size of my small hand for $12. The service itself was fine, the line was pretty long to order when I went at 2 PM but it moved along okay and I only needed to wait 20-30 mins for my order. Overall it was okay but I wouldn’t go out of my way to come back here. I paid about $19 with tax for both the float and the cake. Th

Great matcha and dessert shop! Every drink and dessert is absolutely beautiful! I especially liked the hojicha brown sugar latte with boba. Just the right amount of sweet and the boba were so soft. Definitely recommend!

The cream puffs were the highlight of the table. Crispy shells with chilled, smooth, ice-cream-like custard inside, and both the matcha and original flavors were great. The matcha crepe cake had a rich matcha flavor that lingered nicelyβ€”definitely one for matcha lovers. The Hokkaido cake surprised me with a subtle hint of lemon in the cream, which added a refreshing touch. The brown sugar boba cake was rich and soft, with a springy sponge that paired well with the toppings. For drinks, I went with the low-sugar options. The strawberry matcha latte had a nice balance, with the strawberry sweetness complementing the matcha without overpowering it. The Jasmine matcha latte was lighter and smoother, which I personally preferred.
